About INSIDE

INSIDE: Inclusion Standards in Diverse Education

INSIDE is a complete capacity-building program that helps educational institutions build and sustain inclusive practice. It is anchored in internationally recognised standards and informed by research.

INSIDE combines clear standards, role-specific training and practical audit tools, so institutions can understand where they stand, build the skills of their people and take confident, measurable steps forward.

INSIDE has three editions, for schools, higher education and early years. Each one is designed for leaders who want inclusion to be a whole-institution commitment, not a single initiative.

More about our approach

Modern accessible educational environment in Amman, Jordan.

INSIDE connects policy and practice through training, auditing and consultancy.

The INSIDE editions

One program, three editions for every stage of education.

Each edition is built on its own research-based framework, role-specific training tracks and practical audit tools.

INSIDE Early Years

  • 17 frameworks
  • 8 domains
  • 61 standards

INSIDE Early Years focuses on the most important stage of a child's development. Its 8-domain, 61-standard framework draws on international and regional early childhood frameworks, including CRPD, EYFS, Te Whāriki, EYLF, DEC/NAEYC, and more. Separate tracks for staff and for families, along with a participant workbook and an accessibility rubric tool, help nurseries and early learning centres create settings where every young child belongs, takes part and thrives from day one.

INSIDE Schools

  • 17 frameworks
  • 12 domains
  • 216 standards

INSIDE Schools helps K-12 schools build inclusion into every part of school life. It is built on a 12-domain, 216-standard framework drawn from 17 international and national frameworks. It offers four training tracks for Leadership, Teaching, Support and Operations, and Community and Parents, all built around a shared Awareness Module so every member of the school community works from the same understanding. Schools can measure where they stand using the INSIDE audit tool and Accessibility Rubric. They then turn the results into a clear, prioritised action plan that supports accreditation and inspection.

INSIDE Higher Education

  • 18 frameworks
  • 12 domains
  • 216 standards

INSIDE Higher Education brings the same rigour to universities and colleges. It is aligned with 18 international and regional frameworks for higher education. Tailored tracks for Leadership, Academic Staff, and Support and Operations help institutions build inclusive teaching, services and policy across campus. A dedicated audit tool with a live dashboard gives leaders a clear picture of where they stand and where to act next. The edition also covers physical, communication and digital accessibility, so inclusion extends from the lecture hall to online learning.
